Dog safety gear

Can a driver see your dog before they can stop?

Dark mornings and early sunsets make an unlit dog nearly invisible from a car. These are the light-up collars, harnesses and trackers worth buying — picked, not scraped.

A driver's view at night: a dog stands in the road ahead wearing a glowing blue LED collar, with the car's stopping distance marked out on the tarmac.
At 40mph a car needs well over 100 feet to stop. A lit collar is the difference between a driver seeing your dog and seeing them too late.

Dog safety is seasonal, but the risk never fully goes away.
